#228 – Countdown to a new year
We’re down to the last couple days of 2018. It seems like the year just started yet when I reflect back, it has been a busy year and I’m humbled at how blessed and fortunate I’ve been.
The early part of the year saw my return to a regular blog post, the beginning of a regular Facebook live event, and improving the sound and video quality of my video blog posts. It wasn’t all work though. I did learn to take some time for myself including a couple trips to northern Michigan to go skiing and a mid-winter trip to Miami.
Throughout the year I’ve had the joy and honor to meet some really wonderful people especially through my Meet-up group, Kansas City Singles Mingle. I’ve also been blessed to be able to reconnect with friends that I haven’t seen in nearly 40 years.
Sadly, I’ve lost a couple of friends this year also. As I grow older this becomes a more common reminder of just how fragile life really is.
I’ve had the privilege to be able to spend the summer in northern Wisconsin restoring and maintaining my dad’s sailboat on Lake Superior. This has been very therapeutic for me since losing him nearly two years ago.
I’m excited to dive into a new year in anticipation of a lot of wonderful things happening. One of those things I’m going to announce right now. By the end of the first quarter I’ll be launching and on-line coaching course. This is something I’ve been wanting to do for more than a year and now it’s time to announce that it’s finally on its way!
I don’t know what surprises lie ahead in 2019 but I’m looking forward to whatever the new year has to bring.
I wish you all a happy and safe New Year’s celebration. And, I hope that God blesses you richly in the coming year. I’ll see you next week with the start of an all new video blog series.
Until then, I love you all. Have a great and blessed week.
